MISS ROSANNA EVOLA
This is the eighth year of operation for Rosanna's Dance Academy under director Miss Rosanna Evola. Miss Rosanna's teaching experience spans many years, beginning at a young age as an assistant teacher, to teaching her own classes in her teens, and finally opening her own studio at age nineteen.
She has extensive experience in choreography, teaching dance at local primary schools, and individual choreography with many of her dances performed at various eisteddfods throughout Queensland and overseas. She continues her choreography with teaching classes, exam dances, eisteddfod dances, and running workshops throughout the year at the studio.
Miss Rosanna has been performing for over 20 years. She has vast experience in many genres,
including tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, funk, singing, and acting.
Miss Rosanna has continued to perform, dancing and singing in each end of year concert at Rosanna's Dance Studio. She has also participated in various workshops with well-known choreographers, including Chris Jordan, Stephen Tannos, Sean Robinson, Katie McMahon, Will Sanchez and many more.

Miss Carla Taraborelli
C.S.T.D, Ballet, Jazz and Tap
Miss Carla began dancing when she was 5 years old at the Brisbane Academy of Dance. She then continued her studies at the Conroy Dance Centre where she learnt all styles of dance. She has been in performance teams for over 10 years performing all over Brisbane and Sydney. In 2014, Miss Carla travelled with a small group of students and teachers to Macau to participate in the International Youth Dance Festival representing Australia. Miss Carla has completed her CSTD Jazz Teachers Diploma, Tap Teachers Certificate and Ballet Teachers Certificate.
She is currently completing her Tap and Ballet Diplomas. Miss Carla has over 5 years of teaching experience including spending 21 months at a dance school in Singapore where she taught the CSTD Syllabus and choreographed for the CSTD Singapore Competition.
Miss Carla joined the RDA team in 2017 and has enjoyed teaching and sharing her passion for dance with all of the students.
Miss Jacinta Lazzaro
“2018 will be filled with lots of new routines, new friendships and smiles :)”
Miss Jacinta has been dancing for roughly 15 years and has loved every bit of it. She has performed at many fetes, concerts, shows and eisteddfods. Miss Jacinta has participated in many dance workshops, some held by well known and talented Choreographers, such as - Napoleon and Tabitha (Choreographers for 'So You Think You Can Dance America') and Tony Tzar (Currently back up dancing for the 'Alicia Keys' tour). Miss Jacinta was offered a short-term scholarship for a dance workshop in America but made the hard decision to not accept at the time of offer. She participated in a majority of dance nights & musicals for school, musicals including, Grease and Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat and was also Jazz Dance Captain 2007.
Miss Nikki Elphinstone
Mum and Bubs, Tiny Tots, Dance Acro, Administration
Miss Nikki has been passionate about dance since she was very young and remembers with excitement her first studio dance class at age 7. Her performance experience spans almost 40 years, including school, studio, and public performances, youth and adult competitions, and working in the industry for various companies such as DJ services (large scale), sporting clubs, dance clubs, and agency run business ventures throughout Brisbane and Toowoomba. She was also fortunate to be invited to perform at the C.S.T.D. Teachers Convention at QPAC.
She has studied several dance genres, including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Singing. She has successfully completed Theatrical Exams from Prep 5 to Grade 3 and is continuing her education in this area. Whilst she still performs, her transition to teaching has been thoroughly enjoyable and has enabled her to share her passion with others.
Miss Nikki has been teaching Mums and Bubs, Tinies, and various Tap classes for 6 years. She has been teaching Dance Acro for 4 years, being a qualified WAG Gymnastics coach and Certified Acrobatic Arts teacher.
Miss Sharnae Tamehana
Miss Sharnae has been teaching at RDA alongside Miss Rosanna since opening in 2011 but her passion for dance started at a very young age and it wasn’t actually in hip-hop, in fact at the age of 3 she started Ballet and Tap and from then over time she expanded her genres of dance to jazz, funk, contemporary and slow modern. It was not until she was around 9 years of age where she started taking an interest to hip-hop and as years progressed Miss Sharnae found that this was not only her strongest genre of dance but also the one she enjoyed and loved the most. Over the years she continued to expand her knowledge of different genres of dance through high school and worked hard to improve her technique, choreography and performance skills. Miss Sharnae now also manages an all-boys dance crew as well as teaching our junior & senior hip hop classes.

- Captain of the Claver Jnr Elite dance team
- One of the Choreographers for clavers sports/subject classes and winning Elite dance teams
- Bring It on Academy All-Stars team
- Travelled to New Zealand to launch Bring it On Academy NZ
- 2011 started teaching at RDA
- Held a workshop at Woodcrest College, 2012
- Mentor & manager for boys dance team,2016 - present
Jazz & Tap
Miss Bekkah began dancing at just the age of 2. She has danced in all genres of dance such as; jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical and acrobatics. At the age of 5 Miss Bekkah begun competing at competitions. At age 10 she was asked to dance up in the open age competition team. At 12 years old Miss Bekkah travelled to New Zealand with her competition team to compete against other teams overseas. At 15 she travelled with the same team over to America. She danced in Disneyland, California Adventure Park and Universal Studios. Miss Bekkah began her teaching career at age 15, teaching kids from the ages of 3 to 15 years. She has also completed her CSTD exams for both tap and jazz and will be completing her teachers certificate in both this year. Miss Bekkah lives for dance and loves nothing more then seeing all students around her grow into great dancers.
Miss Monique Stanicki
Monique has danced for the best part of 20 years. She was with the Ruggieri Dance Academy from a young age and progressed to teaching. With many eisteddfod performances both on stage and as a teacher and choreographer. She has been lucky enough to dance on a professional level at for award shows on the Gold Coast and be selected for the opening ceremony of the Brisbane Goodwill Games. Although she has had a great time on stage her passion for dance has always been to teach. Watching students reach their potential on stage is the greatest achievement as well as the lifetime friendships gained through dance.
Miss Rhyannon Elphinstone
Rhyannon is our newest teacher here at the academy and currently teaches our contemporary classes.
